Mr. Len McDowall (CA) was inaugural Chairman and Managing Partner of Bird Cameron, Chartered Accountants, which employed 1000 people in 50 offices in Australia and Hong Kong. He established Bird Cameron’s mergers and acquisitions division in 1987.
He has extensive experience in all areas of financial management with a particular emphasis on structuring and negotiating joint ventures and capital raisings. Mr Len McDowall and his partners established the Integral Capital Group (a predecessor to BlueMount Capital), which specializes in mergers and acquisitions, public floatation’s, the creation of financial management strategies and capital management.
Mr. Len McDowall is an expert in capital and debt raisings and has a proven ability to source funds from a wide range of investment and finance industry sources.
He is a respected, syndicated author of articles as diverse as investment, capital raising, private equity funding, pre-IPO opportunities, IPO plans and wholesale investing.
Michael Gale began his career in Australia at the beginning of the PC revolution in the early 1980s by selling imported personal computer products. He was later responsible for a major distribution business in Asia Pacific and represented hundreds of vendors including Apple, IBM, HP and Compaq Computer. He then became a member of the Macromedia executive team, which was listed on the NASDAQ in 1993 and subsequently acquired by Adobe.
In the 1990s and 21st century, he was an entrepreneur and investor in Silicon Valley, involved with more than 100 start-ups in the US, Asia and Europe, including Asian operations of HAHT, Akamai and F5 Labs. These achievements have led him to focus on investment and asset management initially in the US and then by developing an asset management platform based in Zug, Switzerland.
Michael returned to Australia at the end of 2017 to serve as the chairman of a local technology vendor and as a principal consultant in a large international family office, responsible for investing in Australia. He also serves on the boards of five globally operating Australian companies, all of which focus on technology or asset management.
Through the application of risk control innovation, Michael has a keen insight into wealth creation, has a professional background in corporate management and leadership, and has established and managed several high-growth companies. These companies have grown from small teams to publicly owned companies.
Simon Maughan Wright
A strategy advisor to corporate clients, Simon has skills in corporate finance including M&A, turnarounds, transformations, law, real estate development, investment and asset management and data application. He has experience as a CEO, in problem -solving and innovation, financial analysis, business & company valuations.
He has been in M&A advisory for 20 years and prior to that, he was CEO of a real estate development & asset management group for 10 years. He marketed three, mid-market M&A practices Australia wide, marketed businesses overseas and manufactured products in Asia for markets in UK, Europe, and the USA. He has advised clients in Dubai and Baghdad, established the debt acquisition industry in Australia and has numerous finance model innovations to his credit.
He is an experienced company director, a Fellow of the AICD and currently deputy chair of an NFP community housing provider and chair of its Development Committee. Prior to that he was a director of a substantial NFP aged and family care group with $2bn in real estate assets and a revenue budget of $610million pa and was chair of its Finance, Audit & Risk Committee. He has been a member of numerous other boards in wine, finance, hotel, credit and real estate companies.
Yaser has over 20 years of experience in technology, he spent it in managing and coaching teams, designing, developing, implementing and operating ICT systems, primarily within telecommunication service provider environments in the Middle East and North Africa most notably as a Director of Emirates Telecom (Etisalat) where he was one of the leaders for the national telecom infrastructure transformation program from copper network to fibre network and from legacy technologies to IP technologies.
He focuses on technology strategy and technology due diligence, for M&A and investment projects. He works with CTOs, CIOs and their leadership teams and Boards to conduct a strategy review, making the link with strategy, people and operations. The output from these reviews defines a high-level business requirement, and a high-level target architecture to achieve the business targets, enhance customer experience, develop ROI/business cases and the creation of frameworks for ICT transformation which includes vision, strategy, process, cultural changes and organization structure.
Currently, Yaser is a Director in a number of technology companies in New Zealand, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. He is based in Auckland and directing projects in Cyber Security across different Telecom service providers, in addition to a Tele-Health solution rollout over AWS cloud in multiple countries.
Ross is a member of the senior management team of BlueMount Capital and Director of Sydney Funds Management, with 25 years commercial and management experience.
Ross has extensive experience in project management, fund management, eCommerce, fintech, information technology and specialises in assisting companies in seeking public listing, merger and acquisition and capital raising in both domestic and international capital markets.
Ross holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, a Graduate Diploma of Business & Technology from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney.
